WONDERFUL FALL IN MARCHES

Fall is the best season for a hike in our romantic, colourful woods, and Tenuta Grimaldi is an excellent starting point, to reach them. 

Our vineyards constantly change their colours, and consequently the landscape, that you can enjoy from our panoramic SPA or pampered in the hot water of the outdoor tub, overlooking rows of Verdicchio.

Mount Canfaito, with its famous beech forest, is only 17km away; part of the Regional Natural Reserve of Mount St. Vicino, it is definitely the most evocative place to admire Foliage, in our Region:  beautiful shades of orange, red, yellow leaves will lead visitors to discover the oldest beech in Marches, that was included in the list of 300 monumental trees in Italy.

During your walk, it is not uncommon to come across animals grazing in the wild; an even more intense experience with misty, foggy weather. 

Alternatively, you may follow the path that from Braccano – 9 km from Tenuta Grimaldi – leads to Jana Gorge:  with suitable shoes and clothing, the whole family may take a nice walk through the paths carved by the streams, ending with an enchanting, hidden waterfall, surrounded by rocks.

On the same day, before heading back to Tenuta Grimaldi for a regenerating SPA or a tasting of our Verdicchio di Matelica, you may stop in Braccano and visit its beautiful murals, or discover Elcito – the charming village of silence – perched on a rocky outcrop, it currently counts 7 inhabitants in total!
